WMB Media Team Application

The WMB is looking to up our media output and is looking for volunteers with experience with videography, photography, video production and editing, audio production and editing, and more. The primary purpose is to prepare performance videos for presentation to the band, staff, and general public, but we are hoping to extend to video board pre-show productions, promotional, recruiting, and hype videos, blogs, and beyond.

Additional responsibilities can include website (our CMS is Joomla) and social media management/contributions.

The video team will be made of both marching and non-marching members (marching members will be involved in pre- and post-production).

Travel and early move-in are not guaranteed for non-marching members.

We provide the following equipment and software:

  • Canon Vixia HF R200 camcorder (2)
  • DJI Mavic Pro Drone (requires additional training/certification)
  • Zoom H4N audio recorder
  • Ravelli AVT professional 67-inch tripod with fluid drag head
  • Generic basic tripod (2)
  • Lensse MidX Camera Stabilizer
  • Apple Mac Mini; 2.3 GHz Core i7; 8G RAM; 1TB Fusion Drive; dual widescreen monitors
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator, inDesign, etc.)
  • Plenty of SD cards of various sizes
  • 1TB external HDD for file storage
  • Equipment available from Parker Media Lab in Dimond Library
  • iPhone 4S (wi-fi only for social media posting)

Not required, but I know some of you have "toys" you want to put to use! (GoPro, drone, DSLR, light kit, etc.)
